Sandra Wolkov

Sandra K. Wolkov is of counsel with the firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her primary areas of practice are commercial litigation and appellate law. Prior to joining Montero Wolkov, LLP, Ms. Wolkov practiced at the law firms of Steel Hector & Davis, LLP, Hunton & Williams LLP, and Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP, where she concentrated on complex commercial litigation, media & communications law, and appellate law. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable James I. Cohn of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Ms. Wolkov graduated summa cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1998. During law school, Ms. Wolkov was a member of the University of Miami Law Review and earned the Soia Mentschikoff Award for Excellence in Legal Scholarly Writing, a Dean's Honor Scholarship, and awards for constitutional law, evidence, religious freedom and constitution, violent crime law, and Florida appellate law. Ms. Wolkov also served as a Dean's Fellow for Civil Procedure I and Constitutional Law I. Ms. Wolkov received her B.A. in 1994 from New College, Florida's honors college, where she completed a thesis and oral baccalaureate in British and American Literature.

Raised in London and Copenhagen, Ms. Wolkov is fluent in Danish. She is the author of "Reasonable Doubt in Doubt," published in The University of Miami Law Review in 1998, and co-author of Libel Defense Resource Center Survey of Florida Law Regarding Invasion of Privacy and Related Law, published in 1999, 2000 & 2001. Ms. Wolkov recently co-authored It's Raining Cats and Dogs ... Government Lawyers Take Note: Differential Licensing Laws Generate Revenue, Reduce Costs, Protect Citizens, and Save Lives, published in Stetson Law Review Winter 2011 edition. She currently serves on the editorial board of The Circle Gazette, a newspaper by children for children.

Ms. Wolkov is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
